About the event
"AI, Espionage and Foreign Affairs"
with Anthony Vinci, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency
America is in the midst of a revolution in intelligence, driven by geopolitical competition and new technology, and this revolution has significant ramifications for foreign affairs. China's intelligence capabilities are expanding by leaps and bounds, and now threaten everyday Americans, as illustrated by the still ongoing hack of the US telecommunications system. Artificial intelligence in particular is changing the nature of intelligence, leading to whole new forms of espionage, and creating new missions such as the need to assess adversarial AI. At the same time, espionage is expanding into new areas from economics to biotech, forcing our intelligence leaders to scramble to address not only how to accomplish these missions but also how to ensure that our rights remain protected.
